Admissions Policy
Admission to Nexus International School (Singapore) is open to learners of all nationalities who demonstrate the capacity to benefit from the challenging international curriculum offered by the school. The school's belief is where learning support would be needed, suitability of each candidate is considered on a case by case basis to ensure that we are able to meet the learning needs of each child. Another important factor that the school will consider is a learner’s educational and linguistic background in order to fulfil the school’s duty to provide education in the English medium to the International community.

Tuition Fees
Admissions and Registration Fee Schedule for Academic Year 2018-19

^The Development Levy pays for the maintenance, improvement and renovation of the Nexus campus as well as for all its capital development projects. This fee is compulsory and applies to all students in Years 1 to 13. It is payable during the first semester of attendance each year and will not be pro-rated regardless of enrolment date.
An Application Fee of S$856 (inclusive of 7% GST) must accompany all applications. This fee is payable per application and there is no special rate for families with more than one child applying.
The Application Fee is non-refundable if:
• the student's application is withdrawn prior to commencement of school;
• the application is denied for admissions by the Principal/Head of School;
• the application is rejected by ICA or MOE, or for any other reason whatsoever.

At the stage that an application has been approved, the school will send an electronic Student Contract, which will later be followed by an invoice for the Registration fee payment of S$2,354 (inclusive of 7% GST), once the cooling off period has elapsed.
There are two semesters (four terms) in the Nexus academic year - from August to December; and January to June. All course fees, development levies, foundation English fees and medical insurance will be protected under the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS).

All fees stated are in Singapore dollars (S$) and inclusive of 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Application and Registration Matters
- Application Fee of S$856 (inclusive of 7% GST). This fee is non-refundable.
- Copy of applicant's passport
- Copy of applicant's school reports for the past two (2) academic years (translated into English where required)
- Copy of Learning Support Assessments (if applicable)
- Copy of Birth Certificate/Family Booklet (Translated into English where required)
Immunisation/Vaccination Record - Copy of Parents'/Guardians' passports
- Copy of Applicant's and Parents/Guardians' Singapore Pass (For FIN (Dependant's Pass, Student's Pass, Employment Pass) and NRIC cards, please provide a copy of the front and back)
- Letter of Reference from most recent school attended (only required if the previous school reports do not have teachers' comments included)
Once the application and fee has been submitted, a confirmation will be given by the Admissions Office. The school will take about approximately one week to review each application. If more information required, the school may request more information. Admissions staff will contact you to arrange for the assessment and/or interview of your child.
For applicants to Year 2 and above, your child will sit an online Placement Test comprising of a non-verbal reasoning and a sentence completion section to determine, among other skills, their written English Language Proficiency. This is followed by an interview (if required) with the Head of School/Programme Coordinators.
The final decision on the year group a student is to join will be made by the Head of School and is dependent upon the admission assessment/interview at the time of application and previous school reports.
Admission of students with specific learning needs across all year levels will be assessed on a case by case basis and the Principal's final approval is needed before acceptance of the student.
Upon acceptance by the School, an electronic contract will be emailed to the designated contract signer, as indicated in the Application Form. If the contract is not signed, or you do not respond within 14 days of the contract being sent, the place will be released for another child. The Admissions Office will submit for Student's Pass application to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) one month prior to the student’s course commencement date. Applicants who are Singapore PRs or holding a Dependant's Pass will not be required to apply for a Student's Pass.
The Admissions Office will notify students of the Orientation dates.
